CodeFest is a coding event created to challenge the developer’s skills and start up innovative ideas being organized by Unicamp, Inova Unicamp and the Unicamp’s Institut of Computing.

The first Startup Weekend Campinas will occur on May 13-15, 2011 inside Unicamp. It is a weekend-long, hands-on experience where entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs can find out if their startup ideas are viable.
This program was launched to foster the technological innovation inside the university and it is offering 45 CNPq Sponsorships for Unicamp's students involved in entrepreneurial projects and/or proofs of concept.
Besides the ad hoc assessors, each project will also have an entrepreneur mentor.

In 2011, Unicamp and Inova Unicamp are organizing this program which consists of 15 lectures, attended by 100 students each and will discuss innovation and entrepreneurship.

FastTrac (Bota pra Fazer in Brazil) is a program launched by Kaufmann Foundation that originally serves existing and aspiring entrepreneurs in non-academic and academic environments. Unicamp is one of the pioneers in this program in Brazil: 15 professors are already skilled in the new methodology and 5 classes of 20 students each will be offered in the next term.
