FastTrac/Bota pra Fazer

FastTrac (Bota pra Fazer in Brazil) is a program launched by Kaufmann Foundation that originally serves existing and aspiring entrepreneurs in non-academic and academic environments.  It has served more than 300,000 entrepreneurs since 1993.

In Brazil the program was adapted by Endeavor and 16 specialists from universities such as Unicamp and Fundação Dom Cabral and will be used in a pre-selected set of universities, where college students will learn how to be an entrepreneur and earn credits completing the course.

Unicamp is one of the pioneers in this program. According to Roberto Lotuffo, the Director of Inova Unicamp (the Unicamp’s Innovation Agency) and head of this initiative at Unicamp, 15 professors are already skilled in the new methodology and 5 classes of 20 students each will be offered in the next term (2nd Semester 2011).

Besides, the successful entrepreneurs of the Unicamp ecosystem will support this program mentoring the classes and sharing their experience with the students along the program.
