I CodeFest Campinas – Check the themes and Join it!

Throughout July & August 2011 will occur  the I CodeFest Campinas at Unicamp (FEEC, IC and Eldorado Institut). The teams will have 3 weeks to develop their projects with an online mentoring.

Each team will work on a specific theme, starting on July 18, 2011, when the  teams will have online access to additional information about the themes and the designated mentors.

7th E-Commerce Chat - June 18, 2011 at FEEC Unicamp

Tomorrow will happen the 7th E-Commerce Chat (Bate papo sobre E-commerce) at FEEC Unicamp.

In Campinas, the event is organized by Gustavo Mena, co-founder of Brave Menswear and Igor Bellino, co-founder of Espinafre Comunicadores (Spinach Communicators).

The lecturers of this 7th edition are Gil Giardelli (@gilgiardelli) and Felippi Perez (@felippiperez).

The agenda for tomorrow starts at 2pm and runs until 6pm.

The event is free of charge, but the organization is asking for a cleaning product per attendee for donation to the children of the Abrace Solidário institution.

Now is official, the I CampinasTECH Meetup will occur on July 7, 2011 at FEEC (Electrical and Computer Engineering School) Unicamp. If you are an awesome startup looking for investments, that’s your chance!

GNPX Technology at the Knight-Mozilla News Innovation Challenge

The Knight Foundation and Mozilla have just launched the Knight-Mozilla News Innovation Challenge. It is an initiative to harness open-web innovation for journalism. The program will select 15 fellows through a series of innovation challenges and community events, who will be embedded in leading newsrooms around the world. These fellows will create new tools, ideas, and news experiences that benefit both readers and newsmakers, always using open technologies.
