In December we were excited to announce the winner of the AppCircus in São Paulo, The Incredible Circus. The great news is that this casual game was selected as one of the 20 best apps among all AppCircus winners worldwide and will be on the stage of the Mobile Premier Awards on February 27, in Barcelona, competing for the best app of the year. I will be there to check this out!
The game was initially developed for Qt/Symbian platform, as a pet project of the design team of INdT (Instituto Nokia de Tecnologia - Technology Institute of Nokia) in Recife. In 45 days after lauching at Nokia Store, the app had over 300,000 downloads in over 170 countries and a consistently 5-star rating, featured as a top free games for weeks, next to Rovio's Angry Birds and Ninja Lite.
The Windows Phone version of The Incredible Circus is probably going to be launched on the stage of Mobile Premier Awards. Last week, during the Campus Party Brazil, Julien Fourgeaud (Rovio’s Product Management and Business Development) have tried the beta version and apparently enjoyed the game a lot. Check out the video of the Symbian's version!
The stage will have 3 more competitors from Latin America: No te passes (Mexico), The Social Radio (Argentina) and The Hand (Colombia). You can check the list with all the 47 winners in the MPA's website.
The event is the final competition for the best app of the year, where you will have the chance to meet all the winners of all AppCircus worldwide.
